Bluenose Rum starts from Ironworks amber rum. The shop is at 2 Kempt Street in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, inside the old Walters blacksmith shop. That shop made iron for the schooner Bluenose, launched in the harbour on 26 March 1921.
A 750 mL bottle is $43.30 on the distillery site. Pickup is usually ready in 24 hours. Cane does not grow in Nova Scotia, so the rum starts with molasses Crosby imports from Guatemala and processes in New Brunswick.
